Monday night I was working late in London so we stayed in a hotel - the Holiday Inn in Kensington. The room was the bargain price of £210 per night (breakfast not included). I got to bed at 3am and got up again at 6am which makes it £70 an hour for my bed!
At least I got a free newspaper but reading that informed me that the grapes I have been enjoying for lunch this week that I have picked from the vine in the garden are only here because the average temperature of the UK has risen by one degree during my lifetime. So I am profiting from the effects of global warming!!
